Important Information Regarding Your Time With Laurabella

1. Bookings and Payments
1.1 Deposit Policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit is non-refundable unless the cancellation terms in Section 2 are met.
If paying with a voucher, the full voucher code (covering at least 50% of the treatment cost) must be given at the time of booking.
In the event a deposit is not made, Laurabella reserves the right to cancel the booking. Frequent no-shows or late arrivals may require full prepayment for future bookings.
Bookings made less than 24 hours in advance require full payment upfront and are non-refundable.
1.2 Payment Completion
Full payment is due on or before the day of your appointment. Payment methods include cash, card, or other accepted methods. AMEX is accepted.
1.3 Special Offers and Discounts
Discounts and promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
Gift vouchers may only be used for their intended purpose and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Please note:
Special offers, discounts, and pricing may vary depending on whether your therapist is self-employed or employed by Laurabella.
Self-employed therapists manage their own pricing, promotions, and availability, and these may differ from Laurabella’s general offers.
All offers are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice.
Laurabella and self-employed therapists reserve the right to refuse the use of expired or ineligible discounts.
2. Cancellations and Rescheduling
2.1 Standard Bookings
Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment.
Due to therapist scheduling and preparation time, this rule applies in all circumstances.
2.2 Extended Bookings
Appointments valued over £300 or requiring more than 3 hours of therapist time require 7 days’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling.
Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in loss of the deposit and may incur additional charges.
2.3 No-Shows
Failure to attend an appointment without notice will result in loss of deposit and a charge for the remaining balance. Accounts may be suspended until the balance is paid in full.
2.4 NAIL REPAIRS
we hold no responsibility for any smudging of nail varnish, touch ups or chips or lifting of gel polish after leaving the premises. Although Gel polish is known for lasting longer than regular varnish, it needs to be cared for in the same manner than if wearing a varnish. The life of gel varnish depends on the quality of your nails and good aftercare. Laurabella does not offer BIAB or Hard Gel.
3. Self-Employed Therapists
Laurabella works with a number of self-employed therapists who operate independently within the spa.
When booking a treatment with a self-employed therapist:
The service and liability lie solely with that therapist.
Any issues, feedback, or disputes will be forwarded directly to the therapist concerned, and you should expect a response from them rather than Laurabella management.
Laurabella is not responsible for refunds, alterations, or outcomes relating to self-employed therapist services.
These therapists may have their own terms and pricing, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
4. Spa Facilities and Usage
4.1 Spa Parties and Group Bookings
Spa parties and groups of 6 or more people have a maximum of 3 hours’ use of spa facilities, including the sauna, hot tub, and relaxation areas.
This duration may vary depending on staff availability and treatment schedules.
Usage time is determined by Laurabella management on the day and cannot exceed operating hours.
4.2 Opening Times and Facility Access
Facility use must align with Laurabella’s opening hours.
Due to insurance regulations, guests cannot remain on-site beyond closing time. Please plan taxi or pickup times accordingly.
4.3 Sauna, Hot Tub, and Heat Facilities
Guests using heat-based facilities must:
Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol before or during use.
Limit sessions to recommended durations (typically 15–20 minutes at a time).
Exit immediately if feeling light-headed or unwell.
Avoid use if pregnant, under medical treatment for heart or circulation issues, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
All facility use is at your own risk, and Laurabella staff instructions must be followed at all times. Misuse or unsafe behaviour may result in immediate termination of your session without refund.
5. Alcohol Policy
Guests may bring alcohol for responsible enjoyment. Excessive consumption or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate termination of your spa day without refund.
Clients appearing intoxicated may be restricted from using facilities or receiving treatments.
6. Arrival and Late Policy
Arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete forms and prepare for your treatment.
Late arrivals may result in reduced treatment time but will still be charged in full.
Group bookings should arrive together or notify reception of delays.
7. Health, Allergies, and Contraindications
7.1 Health Disclosure
All clients must complete a health and allergy form before their first treatment. Clients are required to update their consultation form at least every 6 months and sign it. We ask that in the instance a client has cancer or any other serious health condition, they attend with a written doctors note or proof of one that their medical professional is happy for them to receive the treatment. An emailed, dated copy is fine also.
It is the client’s responsibility to update Laurabella and/or their therapist if there are any changes to their health, medication, or known allergies — even if minor.
This must be done before each visit to ensure your treatment remains safe and suitable.
7.2 Allergic Reactions and Contraindications
Laurabella and its self-employed therapists are not responsible for reactions or complications arising from undisclosed medical conditions, allergies, or contraindications.
7.3 Patch Tests
Certain treatments (e.g., tinting, perming) require patch tests at least 24 hours before your appointment. These are free of charge and must be booked in advance.
8. Behaviour and Spa Etiquette
Laurabella is a calm and respectful environment.
Guests must:
Keep noise levels low.
Refrain from using mobile phones during treatments.
Treat staff and other clients respectfully.
Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour may result in your booking being terminated without refund.
9. Children’s Parties
Children’s spa parties take place on Sundays only.
A maximum of two supervising adults must be present throughout.
The spa is not to be used as a pickup or drop-off location.
Parents/guardians remain responsible for supervision and behaviour during the event.
10. Gift Vouchers, Courses & Memberships
Gift vouchers are valid for one year and are non-refundable.
They may not be used for acupuncture, sound therapy, or reflexology.
Courses and memberships are non-transferable and apply only to Laurabella-employed staff unless otherwise agreed.
Special offers cannot be applied to membership pricing unless specifically stated.
11. Liability and Personal Responsibility
All guests use Laurabella facilities at their own risk.
Laurabella is not liable for loss, damage, or injury resulting from misuse, failure to follow guidelines, or undisclosed health conditions.
Personal belongings remain the responsibility of each guest.
Laurabella uses Phorest as its booking system, which securely stores client data and payment information. Laurabella does not share personal data with third parties.
12. Amendments
Laurabella reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website and at reception.
